Innovative direct fastening in CFRP materials

Future-oriented materials, such as carbon-fibre reinforced plastics (CFRP), enable significant weight savings, which makes then indispensable in many fields of application. Until recently, however, the joining of this high-tech material has been a challenging task for product developers, which is why EJOT invested in developing its advanced fastening solution, the FLOWpoint DELTA PT® screw.

Uniquely combining two proven EJOT joining methods

The capabilities of the FLOWpoint DELTA PT® screw result from the combination of two successful EJOT joining methods in a unique new way. Firstly, a special point allows flow-drill fastening in materials without a pilot hole, making hole overlap problems a thing of the past. And secondly, the specially adjusted DELTA PT® thread offers the best conditions for subsequent thread forming. It is design which provides a reliable connection for design engineers working on numerous applications, and it the FLOWpoint DELTA PT® is available in stainless steel, aluminium and titanium.
