One of the most sophisticated and versatile sheet metal fasteners available.
SHEETtracs offers safe mounting of thin sheet metal joints with a preformed
pilot hole. The reduced flank angle of 45° creates a secure thread, when
compared to common 60° threads.
In addition, the circular thread cross-section makes a higher thread flank overlap
when compared to the non-circular thread geometries on other sheet metal screws.
With EJOT’s sheet metal screw, the need for locking washers and self clinching
nuts can be eliminated from the production process, saving on component costs
and reducing assembly time.
Applications of sheet to sheet assemblies that utilise sheet metal screws
are varied. EJOT’s sheet metal fasteners are used extensively in traditional
assemblies such as white goods and automotive applications, but more
recently have been deployed with great success in applications ranging
from pedestal draws to domestic central heating boilers.
The greater torque and stability created through the reduced flank makes
SHEETtracs one of the most successful sheet metal fasteners on the market.
