CROSSFIX® - The Complete System

The CROSSFIX substructure has been developed to meet the requirements of architects, builders and manufacturers who attach great importance to sustainability, environmental protection, flexibility and the highest safety requirements. Stainless steel has long since replaced aluminium from an economic and ecological point of view, especially regarding CO₂ reduction and the physical properties of the material.

In addition, the stainless steel CROSSFIX brackets have a high load-bearing capacity, so that compared to other systems on the market, it can be assumed that there are fewer anchoring points per square metre on a project-specific basis. As a result, CROSSFIX not only enables our customers to save considerable material but also ensures a reduction in assembly costs. CROSSFIX is also the leader in terms of fire safety, because stainless steel meets the highest fire protection requirements.
CROSSFIX® is a complete system

Energy Efficiency

The CROSSFIX® system significantly cuts down on thermal bridging compared to traditional aluminium supports, leading to better U-values (thermal transmittance) even with the same insulation thickness. This superior performance reduces the overall need for insulation material, offering an environmental benefit. Due to these advantages, the system is the premier choice for projects targeting certifications like DGNB, LEED, or BREEAM.

Safety & Compliance

CROSSFIX® is engineered from the ground up to surpass the safety standards of aluminium or plastic hybrid systems. It delivers a far higher level of safety and was specifically developed to meet the most demanding project requirements, including ever-increasing regulations for fire protection and seismic resistance.

Increased Usable Area

Compared to systems using aluminium consoles, the use of CROSSFIX® allows for a more effective fulfilment of all structural-physical requirements. This superior performance makes it possible to reduce the required insulation thickness. Consequently, the overall wall cross-section is smaller, which ultimately serves to increase the building's usable area.

Design Flexibility

The CROSSFIX® console is highly adaptable, enabling it to form both fixed and sliding points and accommodate both horizontal and vertical support profiles, ensuring maximum flexibility during planning and assembly. When combined with other system components, it guarantees standard-conforming and regulated fastening on all common substrates, as well as in the connection between the console and support profile. This substructure system skillfully blends engineering flexibility and high load-bearing capacity with exceptional thermal performance and maximum fire protection reserve.

Load-Bearing Capacity

By utilising stainless steel and offering the optional use of a power wrench, the system achieves significantly higher load-bearing capacities. The ETA certification officially confirms that the system can transfer substantially greater loads. Its actual, tested load-bearing capacity values and regulated calculation specifications ensure a higher margin of safety for the entire structure.

Reduced Carbon Footprint

CROSSFIX® requires significantly less energy during its manufacturing process than most competing systems. Additional benefits include energy savings during installation, reduced heating costs thanks to better insulation performance, and a reduction in the overall amount of insulation material required. This makes the certified CROSSFIX® system the preferred sustainable choice for architects, manufacturers, and developers planning facade substructures. Comprehensive details on the system's environmental declaration can be found in our EPDs.
