Anchoring Roofing Membranes Using Bitumen Bonding Systems
Anchoring the roofing membrane with bonded bitumen membranes always carries a risk of fire. Special attention must be paid to fire protection, and it is not always possible to use a burner to bond the bitumen roofing membrane at all building sites (e.g. at petrol stations). Additionally, each position must be individually bonded, as is the case with all other bonded roof constructions, and sometimes an additional prime coat is also necessary.
