It takes into account the viability of the EJOT product and system in application, cost minimisation and performance benefits, through to the ergonomic footprint of installed machines in relation to workspace and other process equipment running side by side. EJOWELD is designed to be used in highly automated factory environments, but it is crucial that the technology is integrated correctly to perform reliably.
The new building at the EJOT Turkey site will directly reach this quota with a 2,000 kWp PV system.

This range of high quality self-tapping fasteners is designed specifically for the attachment of ceiling insulation and acoustic boards to concrete soffits where the goal is to bring un-insulated floor structures up to the thermal requirements of the latest Building Regulations and beyond. It is an increasingly popular trend amongst the designers, owners or managers of buildings that feature car parking below ground or at ground level with residential or commercial space above – hence the need for noise reduction measures.
Where the outer shell of the building structure is carrying the thermal insulation and light to heavy mounted parts, this range of products offers an efficient solution for all construction and static requirements. EJOT’s long association with all leading ETICS and EWI system providers inspired development of these ancillary products, each providing options for typical load applications e.g.: Lighting and sensors, signage and mounting rails, pipe brackets, shutter mechanisms - plus and more obvious attachments such as letterboxes and clothesline systems.
Safety-relevant attachments may also be lighter than 15 kg. A good example is a lanyard rail made of aluminium, the net weight of which does not exceed 15 kg, but which would pose a great danger in the case of failure, e.g. if it is not fastened properly.
Under the personal stewardship of company director, Jo Hadfield, Lauren has been able to put in a daily shift on site at Thurcroft, near Rotherham, where the company has recently completed a series of industrial units comprising of twin skin roofs and walls, GRP rooflights, composite panels, bullnoses etc.

Re-investing for the future at EJOT UK with multi-million pound extension project EJOT UK is entering an exciting new era with a major competitive advantage as a project to double the size of its site and extend its technical capabilities is now complete.
In 1996, EJOT EcoFast had outgrown its F1 site and moved across Leeds to Hunslet, where it found a new home in a 1600 sq. m building that would serve the company until 2003.
Besides the production-related advantages of this innovative process, the undisputed weight advantage is the main reason for its increasing popularity.
The HTK design concept is telescopic, so any weight applied through footfall is absorbed by the tube-washer as the fastener is seated at the bottom of the tube.
Their design features cofferdams on both banks of the river to house the machinery and mechanisms required to lift, hold and lower each leaf of the bridge, and it was here where LIEBIG heavy duty anchors were deployed. Working with bridge design specialists Roughan & O’Donovan (ROD) and project engineers Qualter Hall, the LIEBIG Ultraplus undercut anchor from EJOT UK was identified as the preferred solution for this high load application.

Installation methods and attention to detail impacts the longevity of the completed project because, as industry guides like the NFRC Blue Book states, there is a collective responsibility between designers, contractors, and installers to get it right.
This gives far greater flexibility to the designer to enable the embedment depth necessary to satisfy the design criteria to be met without a need to change baseplate design.
And the system can be deployed in all weathers, 12 months a year! The JBS-R/EcoTek combination brings together a high-performing concrete screw (JBS-R 7.5) with a high-quality telescopic tubewasher (EcoTek) to provide a fixing solution that is adjustable to fit the required depth of insulation.
The ultra-modern building represents a huge investment by Ipswich Audi, whilst the project itself indirectly links EJOT the manufacture of building fastenings, with EJOT the originator of automotive fastenings. S&G’s design team specified Kingspan’s Topdek membrane faced insulation panels for the roof construction at the Futura Park site.
The large cast iron brow hanger on the side of the dock. The eight anchors, which you can see here, were installed to an embedment depth of 550mm.
The LIEBIG Superplus BLS anchor is widely used in nuclear power plants due to its extended seismic approvals, including those beyond the ETA, by demonstrating its suitability for continued specification and use in light of the transition from CE marking to the UKCA mark.
Built to the BREEAM ‘Excellent’ standard and achieving an EPC A+ rating, the facility has its own on-site renewable energy technology, EV charging points, high-performance glazing, sustainable lighting, reduced water flow rates and biodiversity initiatives. Installed by Halesowen-based UK Industrial Roof & Cladding, the building envelope is also designed with carbon savings in mind to an extremely well-insulated standard, and it is here where 93,000 Colorfast over-moulded fasteners made an important contribution.
However, for the SKLS (Countersunk Screw) the process is slightly different due to the countersunk head but can be tightened with a hex drive bit.
Survey reveals ‘quick win’ opportunity for envelope quality improvements through seal testing focus Virtually no roofing and cladding installers regard self-drilling fastener seal testing as the priority when working on building envelope installations, according to our recently carried out survey. It asked installers to rank the importance of four things when thinking about installing a roof or façade: Choosing high-quality fixings Regularly testing the quality of the seal Picking the right screw gun Using a properly set nosepiece Regular seal testing was the least important factor by a considerable margin with just 4% of respondents ranking it first, u ...

Feedback received by EJOT UK indicates that many contractors in locations like Australia are adopting new approaches to the design and installation of the building envelope in response to changing building standards, whilst also being able to achieve improved aesthetics and extended design goals.
EJOT’s VACUtest kit is light, extremely efficient and incorporates a unique swarf filter, integrated into its design.
As a provider of fastening systems for everything from the construction and refurbishment of buildings to the assembly of high strength, light-weight vehicles, EJOT is dedicated to unlocking the potential that its solutions have to, in turn, reduce customers’ carbon footprint.
Any construction product that is designed to be easy to install has to be welcomed, but the role ‘simple installation’ plays in ensuring the project outcomes match the design intent and specification goals is often undervalued.
It marks a strategically important step in the development of the Kingspan Group, helping it to unlock the potential of a new and expanding market with a total investment of more than £21 million, and this is reflected in the building’s very high specification. As a ‘greenfield manufacturing facility’, which means it was created on a site where minimal or no existing infrastructure was present, architects IntES and Kingspan were able to take advantage of a ‘blank canvas’ to design and build a facility with exceptional eco-credentials.
The building has been designed to elevated sustainability standards to reflect its significance, with the aim of achieving ‘net zero’ in operation through the incorporation of renewable energy systems. These include photovoltaic panels, heat pumps and heat recovery ventilation, as well as a highly insulated and airtight ‘envelope’ construction to minimise energy use.

Manufacturers have increasingly looked to alloys and light metals – typically aluminium and magnesium – to provide the route to weight reduction as a major part of the effort. And whilst such materials have provided an answer in terms of the weight to strength ratio, the challenge has been how to achieve high strength joints between these lighter materials, placing high demands on joining technology.
It is designed specifically for direct thread-forming assembly into cast holes, providing maximum high-strength values in light alloy assemblies and other non-ferrous metals such as zinc, copper or brass.
These screws are engineered to deliver high performance for very heavy loads, typically when attaching formwork supports. Developed in Finland, this variant of the JC2 Plus 14 has a 24mm dia head and withstands high loads even at relatively small spacings and edge distances, whilst the CG Checking Gauge allows installers to easily determine the screw’s reusability for temporary bracing applications such as concrete mouldings.
EJOWELD EJOWELD® was developed by EJOT as an innovative solution to join multi-material-designs including lightweight materials such as aluminium and advanced high-strength steel using a friction element setting tool which is suitable for robots and autonomous processes. This unique and highly advanced technology is now deployed by high profile automotive manufacturers for body-in-white assembly where lightweighting and high strength need to combine effectively.
